Will it lower my ping?
Something Just Lagged records interruptions and helps you investigate them. It does not speed up your internet, change your route or promise to fix every kind of lag.
What does it record?
Response times, failed connectivity tests, DNS queries, HTTPS checks, aggregate PC traffic and adapter events. The app does not record your screen or the content of your conversations.
Does the app need to stay open?
The recorder must be running on your PC to collect measurements. It stays in the Windows tray, and you can pause collection. Periods when your PC is off or the recorder is paused appear as gaps.
Can the report identify the cause?
It describes what was observed and suggests where to investigate. A failed ping alone does not prove the cause of a freeze. Results represent this PC's connection.
Is US$14.99 a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase for continued use of the purchased version. There is no automatic renewal or monthly charge.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. The free trial runs the full app for 7 days, with no card and no account, and works once per computer. After the trial, recording continues and your data stays on the PC, but creating incident reports requires the license.
Can I use it in a complaint to my ISP?
Yes. Each incident becomes a report with times, durations and exactly what failed — the kind of record support teams and regulators ask for. The data describes what this PC saw; it does not identify the guilty component.
