How your data is used.

The purchase website and desktop app serve different purposes. This page explains the data each one uses.

In the app

Measurements and reports are stored on the computer where the recorder is installed. Tests connect to configured destinations to measure responses, failures and timing. They do not record your screen or conversation content.

Exported files may include network addresses and system details. Review the contents before sharing a report with others.

Once a day the app checks this website's update catalog. That check is counted server-side only as a daily total, to know how many copies are in use. None of your measurements leave your computer because of it.

On the website

When you choose a language, the website saves your preference in a cookie for one year. Automatic removes that preference and uses your browser's languages.

The demo uses illustrative data and does not measure your connection. We do not add advertising or marketing trackers. Hosting may process technical data needed to serve and protect the website, such as IP addresses and access logs.

Audience is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or advertising profiles. We also keep daily totals of first-party events: checkout starts, installer downloads and update checks. These are aggregate counts — how many, never who.

When you purchase

Stripe collects and processes payment information on its own page. The website stores transaction identifiers, amount, currency, date and purchase status to provide downloads and handle refunds. The app does not receive card details.

To limit excessive checkout attempts, we temporarily use an identifier derived from the IP address. The raw address is not stored in this table, and records expire after ten minutes.

License and computers

Your purchase provides a license code that can activate up to two computers. To recover the code or manage slots, enter your purchase email. The response does not reveal whether that address has a purchase.

Starting the free trial sends the same computer identification hash used for license activation. It is used to grant the trial once per machine.

After access is confirmed, the website creates a temporary cookie-protected session to show and free device slots. Freeing a slot does not remotely disable a copy that is already offline. It stops reserving that slot for future activations.

Your download link

Your purchase link lets you check payment and access its download. Keep it safe and avoid publishing it. If you lose your license code, use email recovery instead of sharing the link. The server verifies payment before granting access.
